Shotokan has spread to become the most widely practised style of Karate throughout the world
Its structured training system creates self-discipline and improves behaviour in many aspects of peoples lives as well as developing fitness strength and suppleness
Congratulations to our team that was selected to represent the club at the 56th KUGB National Championships in Nottingham.

As always those selected represented the club with enthusiasm and were determined to do their best.

There were a number of the squad that were competing at this level for the first time and I was very pleased with some of their performances.

Over the weekend our competition squad attended the KUGB Central Region Championships in Derby.

With many of our competitors competing for the first time, they all performed outstandingly.

The club came away with an impressive haul consisting of 11 Gold, 13 Silver and 19 Bronze medals resulting in us being awarded the best club shields for both Kata and Kumite for the 3rd year in a row!
